“We invite you to the Digital Asset Donation Association, a community exploring and sharing a new culture of giving with digital assets.”
As cryptocurrencies and other digital assets become more common, the way people give is changing. During the war in Ukraine and the earthquakes in Türkiye, people around the world sent help across borders through crypto and NFTs.
U.S. platform The Giving Block has shown digital-asset giving growing year after year, pairing tax receipts with a new culture of philanthropy. In Korea, World Vision and the Community Chest have also received crypto and NFT gifts.
Yet the rules for receiving this kind of fundraising are still taking shape, and many teams do not know how to start. Blockchain, cryptocurrency, and NFTs also still carry a negative image despite their useful qualities.
That is why people who wanted to understand digital assets and put them to good use in giving formed this association and have researched together for three years. In 2024 we held a public event so others could use what we had learned.
We hope to help digital assets serve giving well, and we welcome everyone who shares that interest.
